Illinois Agricultural Education Teacher Grant Program

Illinois Agricultural Education Teacher Grant Program

Teachers play a pivotal role in growing our future. Agricultural education teachers play a special role in exposing students to the diverse world of agriculture, and cultivating experiences into a passions that encourages the pursuit of careers in this ever-growing profession.

The Illinois Agricultural Education Teacher Grant Program was established in 2017 to help support and retain new teachers in the classroom. With a five year progressive grant structure, the program stopped accepting new teachers in 2024, but will continue to support those named as recipients through 2028.

At completion, the grant program will have provided more than $300,000 as a thank you to agriculture education teachers who choose their profession and their students day after day.
