Illinois Agriculture in the Classroom
Ag Literacy makes food to farm connections.
Illinois Agriculture in the Classroom (IAITC) helps students explore the world of agriculture through lessons and activities on subjects ranging from soils to butterflies! These hands-on experiences result in students who grow up with a better understanding and appreciation for agriculture.
Free resources for teachers
All lessons meet Illinois learning standards and are available at no cost to Illinois schools. Ag Mags serve as the cornerstone publication of IAITC. Each new Ag Mag is created using Smart Board technology and is available online and in classroom packs of 30.
Strong outreach to classrooms
IAITC has long-standing and trusted connections with educators. That's because our grassroots efforts provide scientifically sound, fact-based lessons delivered locally by trained staff and volunteers.
